Fresno Baby Shower

So this is really late in posting, but I thought I should post about the fun baby shower my sister-in-laws threw for me in Fresno. They did such a wonderful job and everything was so pretty!

Some of my family - (from left to right) sister-in-law Angela, Nana, Aunt Cindy, and cousin Tiffany

The wonderful hostesses - sister-in-laws Lynnsey, Marilyn and Cascia. I am so lucky to have them in my life!

This is Jeff's brother's family and they came over from Monterey for the shower. I had no idea they were coming and Angela knocked on the door and surprised me. It was such a fun surprise seeing them and I was totally shocked! After the shower we had pizza and a swim party at our house. So fun!

The party never stops

For my birthday this year we had several celebrations! Jeff and I like any excuse for a good time so I guess that's how it evolved into several parties. The weekend before my birthday the two of us went to the beach for the day and then went out with friends to eat Teppenyaki (Japanese hibachi cooking) - two of my favorites! Then on my actual birthday Jeff had class so his sisters and I went out to dinner and had cupcakes afterwards from a cute shop here in town that I love called Sugarbaby's. Then, on Labor day we celebrated again with family at a swim party. Jeff's family has a tradition where they make a cake with a theme representing a big event that happened in the last year, so of course he had to make a pregnant lady cake in my likeness.
A little cheesy but I had to match! It was too perfect

Some major birthing hips going on-he got in trouble for that one ;)

Hello and Goodbye

My old roomate from BYU Freshman year, Krystal came to Houston for a visit, and we went to lunch downtown near our apartment. It was SO fun catching up Krystal! Come back soon!
Jeff's neice Courtney just went off to start her first year at BYU, so she came downtown and we went out to say a final goodbye before she left. Good luck Court! We will miss you here in H-town.
Enjoying a night on the town before PARENTHOOD!

Newport Beach...fun in the sun!!!

Loving life at the beach!
6 months (28 weeks) pregnant! Let me tell you, Newport Beach is the perfect place to show off your physique, couldn't have timed it any better. Most of my family had not seen me pregnant at all...so let's just say that they were SHOCKED to see me with a huge pregnant belly!

We picked up my brother Parker from the airport in L.A. He had been serving a 2 year mission in Oaxaca Mexico. It was so good to have him back! Welcome home PJ!!
Jeff, Parker, and Cameron. Parker was showing off his "missionary farmer tan" he had been working on for 2 years.

One of my favorite things to do here is "beach cruise". Happiness is riding beach cruisers at Newport Beach.

Jeff and I aren't the biggest seafood fans, but we make an exception at the "Crab Cooker" restaurant in Newport. Their clam chowder is to die for!

There is this little candy shop on Balboa Island that we always visit. It is a cute quaint shop and they always have all the old classic candies and really good salt water taffy.

Girls doing what we know how to do best at the beach...working on our tans.

So fun wearing a swimsuit 6 months prego!

Family Beach Shots

Since Parker came home from his mission we had the whole family get together for a family photo. Let's just say it was hard to get a good shot of everyone looking at the camera, while crouching on some rocks with waves about to come and splash you. After about a 1,000 takes, these were probably the best ones.

Summer Fun

Early this summer we took a trip with some friends from our ward tubing down the Guadalupe River. The trip was a blast, and after we ate at one of our favorite BBQ places here in Texas...RUDY'S!

Happy Bastille Day!

July 14th is France's Independence Day, so of course we had to celebrate for Jeff because he served his mission in Paris. Houston suprisingly has a ton of French people living here, and Jeff is always taking to people in French at the grocery store. To celebrate we went to this nice little quaint French restaurant for some crepes. ooh la la!

Good old fashion Utah 4th of July!

We were so excited that we were going to be in Provo for the 4th of July. The Freedom Festival goes on during the days leading up to the fourth, and there is a huge celebration and parade on the 4th. All the old homes in downtown Provo are decorated with that old fashioned "All-American" look, and everything is so festive. I love it! We had a ton of fun all day, and then we watched the fireworks that night coming from the Stadium of Fire at Jeff's house. Happy Independence Day!

Jeff and I in front of this huge flag. Yes, my baby bump is getting bigger!

My brother Tyler was in Provo the same time we were, so we met up with him. It was so good to see him and hang out. It was his first freedom festival and he really liked it.

Happy 4th!

Schill Family Reunion!

Last week we went to Jeff's family reunion. Jeff is the youngest of nine children, so his family is huge, so we rented out a giant lodge in Zion National Park in Utah. We drove down on Monday and we were able to try out the first In-and-Out in St. George. Yes, In-and-Out is now in Utah. I couldn't believe it! The lodge was beautiful and we had a great time. Thanks to JoLynne's family for putting it together, you did a great job! Zion was beautiful, and we packed in a ton of fun activities. Jeff's family has a lot of crazy family traditions so it is always a good time. It was so fun to get everyone together and laugh. We are so lucky to have such great families.
Zion was so gorgeous and green, we couldn't believe it. It was pretty to see the redrock cliffs next to the green trees

We went on a hike with the whole family, and next to the trail they had this water hole, and we were so hot that we all decided to jump in. Jeff doing his cannon ball.
They had a lake right out in front of the lodge we stayed in, and they had canoes. We took Isabella for a ride.
