Once again I am about a month behind on my blogging! Better late than never, right?! Jamisen turned one on October 16 and we had a great time celebrating his birthday with lots of family. We decided to do a "rubber ducky" theme for his party since he loves bath time. Jeff's parents came over for the party from Monterey and Jeff and his mom spent the morning making Jamisen's birthday cake. In keeping with the Schill tradition, they made an amazing 3-D cake of a rubber ducky sitting in a bathtub. It was the highlight of the party (after our adorable little boy!) We had good food, hit a rubber ducky pinata in the backyard (which Jamisen loved and thought was hilarious everytime someone whacked the duck....typical boy), ate cake and opened presents. At first Jamisen did not know what to do when we put the cake in front of him to eat. I think he was stunned by everyone staring at him and confused that I would let him dig in and make a mess when every other day of the year I am telling him "no, don't touch that." However, after some time he got the hang of it and had fun making a mess. Here are some photos to recap the day:

We seriously love this little guy so much! He is so goofy and so much fun. He loves to smile all day long and he has a funny sense of humor. He is also so sweet and cuddly. One of my favorite things is when he starts to get tired he will want me to hold him and he just tucks his head on my shoulder, wraps his arm around my neck, and sucks his binky. Another favorite is when Jeff will chase him around the house or scare him with a surprise attack. He thinks it is the funniest thing in the world and loves to be startled/chased! We can't wait to see what the next year brings with our little man :)
