View of Houston

The day before Jeff started his job a week ago, we toured the area and went to the tallest building in Houston (and Texas), the Chase tower. It is more than 70 stories tall, and they have a observation deck on the 60th so you get some pretty amazing views of Houston.

2010!!

For New Year's Eve we went to Jeff's sisters house and had a family party. We played games, ate food, had a white elephant gift exchange, roasted marshmallows at a bonfire, lit some firecrackers (Jeff blew up an orange and tomato), and rang in the new year with Dick Clark's countdown!
Jamisen ringing in the new year

Roasting marshmallows on our huge New Year's Eve bonfire!

Exhausted from all of the festivities - we crashed after midnight hit!

Jeff's parents were in town for the holidays, and one of the benefits of having family in town is taking them to all our favorite restaurants. One of our favorites is Smashburger. Best burgers on earth! Lucky for us it also happens to be across the street from our place.

We also got to go to a Rockets game with Jeff's parents. Jamo loved hanging out with his Grandpa and Grandma

Jamisen's first NBA game. He just kept looking around everywhere, and loved all the lights

Christmas in Cali

We had such a great Christmas visiting family in California! Jamisen and I went early while Jeff stayed in Houston to finish up classes. He did so well on the plane rides there and back. We had an action packed time with lots of family to see and things to do! Here are some of my favorite pictures from our trip.

I love this close up of him in his little sweater vest!
Christmas Eve with all the cousins. Sadly, this is the best picture we could get of all of them. It's impossible trying to get 5 kids to smile at the same time! Jamisen played the part of baby Jesus in our Nativity that night.

Christmas morning - He had cute santa pajamas with a little robe to go over them!Meeting Santa for the first time -Not sure what to think about it.

Making gingerbread houses. As you can tell he was so enthralled with the process

Jeff's sister and her family visited for a day on their way to Monterey. Here's Jeff and Hunter looking too cool in front of the Viper. They loved taking it for a joy ride!

Eating at Dog House Grill. The best tri-tip sandwiches in Fresno

Too cute for words! My little Gap baby

Jamisen went to his first BYU game when Fresno State played BYU. He cheered the Cougars to victory and later that week watched the Bowl game on TV with Jeff. Never too young to start brainwashing, right?! haha

All the girls in the family at our annual Progressive Dinner.

Sound asleep on the way home. Jeff snapped this picture of us passed out. I'm pretty sure I was drolling on his head! :)

What's the Verdict?

Some people say Jamisen looks like Jeff, others say Ashley. Here is a comparison of all of our baby photos. Jamisen on the left, Jeff in the middle and Ashley on the right. What do you think?

3 babies to 1

A week or two ago we brought Jamisen to meet his new three best friends! My friend Bonnie had TRIPLET BOYS back in September, and they have been in the NICU for a couple months and they recently came home. It has been so great to be pregnant the same time! Bonnie was the first friend I met when we moved down to Houston. Jeff already knew her husband John who was high school friends with Jeff's brother in law, and they happened to be in our ward when we moved down here. She made the transition down to Texas SO much easier and I love hanging out with her. We found out about the same time that we were pregnant with boys, her of course with 3 and me with 1, and it's great because they can all be friends. She is amazing to be taking care of 3 boys! 1 is hard enough!

Happy Baby!

Jamisen was smiling so much last night and we got a great smile on camera! He is getting to be so much fun as he interacts with us more.

What a Cutie!

Jeff's sister had a baby girl on the 1st of December, so Jamisen has a new baby cousin. Here they are at the hospital...they are best buds already! As you can see his is estatic.

Jamisen hates wearing hats...but we try to put them on him anyways. I don't think he should have an opinion at this age of what he does and doesn't want to wear!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! We spent Thanksgiving at Jeff's sister and brother in law's (Rich and Beck) house in Houston, and they were so nice to host all of us, especially since Beck was due with her fourth child 5 days after Thanksgiving. My parents came to town from Fresno as well as my brother Parker from BYU, and my brother Ryan and his wife Marilyn and their two kids came on Friday. With Jeff's other sister's family and others coming into town, we had quite the group. We have such a great family to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving!

Sadly, this is the only shot we got of the table - post thanksgiving meal

After dinner the boys did a little fishing in Rich and Beck's pond in their backyard.

After dinner, the turkey definitely got to all of us. This picture says it all!

Nothing like kicking back and watching a movie on a stomach full of turkey!

Boardwalk and BBQ

Thanksgiving weekend was full of fun and BBQ. Since my family was in town from California, they wanted to take advantage of all the good BBQ places we have down here in Texas, so we basically had BBQ for every meal. My dad even stopped by a BBQ place on he way to the airport and took some ribs home with him on the plane. We also went to the Kemah Boardwalk and shopped on the boardwalk and rode rollercoasters.

Our piles of brisket and ribs!

My neice Kaitlyn LOVED her big Texas ribs....as you can see!
