Springtime...

We have done a lot of fun things this spring so far...Disneyland, Easter fun, and as you can see below, Jeff got to take a ride in a private airplane. Every month or so in at the old airport in town they have free fly days where local pilots fly in their own planes and take people up in their planes and give them free flying lessons.  Jeff got to go up in a plane with my brother Tyler and nephew Spencer.  I was really nervous about him going up in such a tiny plane, but he was so excited to go up.  They even let him take over the controls once they were up in the air and he flew around the valley for 20 minutes or so.  It was a great experience for him to fly an airplane and I was glad when he finally touched ground.  He got some cool videos that I posted below.  Also, we ate a Tailspin Tommys, a really good restaurant there that my good friend's mother owns.  If you are ever in town make sure you go eat there.  It is so cool seeing all the planes and eating in the cool plane-themed restaurant.

The takeoff...
and the landing...
It has been a hot spring so far...  My boys favorite way to cool off? A trip to Jamba Juice of course
This little cutie is starting to become obsessed with hats.  He looks so cute in them so I don't mind.

March was a busy month! First off, we had an amazing time at a Jolley Family trip down to Disneyland (well at least until I got really sick at the end of the day...at least it was at the end and not the beginning)  It was so cute to see the Jamisen and Jackson light up as they took in all the Disney magic in the Happiest Place on Earth!  We had so much fun with my parents and all my brothers and their fams.

                                                                           Best buds...
                                                             They love their Nana Jolley
                                                                   Aunt Cascia and Alivia
                                                                     Lynnsey & Alivia

So Jamisen got some pins to collect at Disney...one of them he must have dropped as it ended up on the ground and Jeff stepped on it and it went right through his shoe.  Ouch! but kind of funny...
                                                                     Fun with Papa Jolley

                                                                      Princess Alivia

Had Fun in Monterey visiting Aunt Jo visiting from Texas and going to Dennis the Menace park

Jamisen and Jeff went out for a golf day at the golf course near our house.  Jamisen was SO excited to go golfing with his daddy.  Cute boys in their golf outfits.

                                                                     Sunday Spring outfits

The shopping center that has been in construction near our house finally opened in March and one of the stores is a pet store...to say Jamisen is estatic is an understatement.

Beck and Rich came to visit from Texas, as well as Jeff's brother Rob who moved to San Jose/Palo Alto area in March (rest of fam moving from Denver in June) as he started his new job in the Googlecomplex with LinkedIn.  We are so excited they will be living close.  We went up to the Shaver Lake Cabin with Beck Rich, Rob, and Jeff's parents and had a fun weekend.

We had an Easter celebration with my cousins, the Parkers, at the park.  It was so much fun and we did a lot of fun activities and the boys loved hunting for eggs.

                                                                    The whole group
We also went to my cousin Laiele's house for their annual Easter celebration with all my Kennington cousins. Always a fun time.

Made my first Bunny cake! I dyed different bowls of cake batter and then poured each one into the middle of the other to make a rainbow cake. It was fun cutting into it and seeing the different layers!

My mom and I were asked to teach a class at the Stake Activity Day for girls ages 8-11. The theme of our presentation was about being a daughter of a King and being "beYOUtiful".  We started by talking about the Disney princesses and why they like them so much.  They listed qualities they like about them and we discussed how we all love the stories because they end "happily ever after". We discussed how society tells us that we all need to look or act a certain way to be considered beautiful but that we know it's our unique characteristics that make us stand out and be beautiful.  In other words, being YOU makes you beautiful. After the presentation we gave the girls time to make and decorate paper crowns to remind them they are royal princesses of a Heavenly King. Here are some pics of the room after we finished decorating! I'm kind of obsessed with the pink and zebra lanterns ;)

Since we were going to be on our anniversary cruise for actual Mother's Day we celebrated early and had my parents over for dinner.  It was a beautiful night out so we ate outside and enjoyed the weather. Here's the strawberry pizza I made for dessert.  One of the best desserts around!

Easter morning Jeff made a scavenger hunt that looked like the Easter Bunny had left eggs around the house that had different clues inside them that gave hints at where the other eggs were hidden that ultimately led to their Easter baskets.

This cute little boy had his preschool pictures taken.  Jamo knows how to strike a pose. Jeff and I were laughing about how the backdrop looks like a 1980's wedding!
Jamisen had fun showing Nana his preschool class at Grandparent day
