January Recap

We started off the new year with some of Jeff's family visiting us! Carl, Jolynne and their kids made the long trek from Portland, Oregon to spend New Years Eve with us and Jeff's parents. They encountered snow and some scary road conditions on their drive so we were very grateful when they made it to Fresno! New Year's Eve is also our newphew Hunter's birthday so it was one big celebration after another! On New Year's Eve day we went to my dad's grape vineyard/almond orchard. My brother Tyler gave everyone a tour and then they got to ride the four-wheelers and drive tractors around. After that everyone went to Boomers to play mini golf while Jeffs mom and I stayed home to get ready for the party that night. That night we had my family over along with Jeff's for some food and games. We played some great Schill family favorites and everyone had a lot of fun! For some reason I don't have many pictures. Jeff's mom has more but I can't figure out how to get them off of Shutterfly, so this will have to do!

Later in the month we went to my parents cabin in Shaver for the weekend with my brother Ryan's family and my parents. We had fun sledding, eating, playing games and relaxing!

Jamisen eating nuts with his Papa. Jamisen knows he gets the good stuff with my dad- he is always sneaking Jamisen nuts, popcorn, candy, Dr. Pepper and so on! I guess that's what grandparents are for! :)

I love dressing Jamisen up in cute church outfits on Sundays. Sometimes Jeff has to remind me that he isn't my little doll!

How cute is that little smirk on his face?!

I love this sweater! It has a built in tie!

I made this bath time basket as a gift for a friend's baby shower. I am not too creative so I was pretty proud of myself for coming up with this!

Last, Jeff spent the entire month working out of town on the weekdays so that left me lots of time to read! I have rediscoverd my old love of reading and may be a little obsessed! I read this 4 book series "Faith of our Fathers" in a month. It's a historical fiction about the Civil War and it's written by an LDS author. I really loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good series to read!

A Very Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! This year's Christmas was a very memorable one for a couple reasons. First we have a little guy that is finally old to process the whole Christmas thing is going on. Secondly, it was the first Christmas in our new house. And lastly, we were able to go up on Christmas Day to my parents Cabin up in Shaver Lake and have a white Christmas!! It was so perfect. We drove up there which is about 45 minutes away on the 25th to spend the night and on queue it started snowing on Christmas. Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
Can't begin to tell you how in love with this picture I am

Walking down Christmas Tree Lane in Fresno, Jamisen took his picture with Santa. Jeff and I are convinced that this guy might actually be the REAL Santa Claus.

Bulldogs, Dog Robes, and a 60th Birthday Party

Jeff's firm gave him their Fresno State football tickets vs. Illinois. Bulldogs won!

Can't get enough of my little cutie in his dog robe when he gets out of his bath. Adorable.

My dad hit the big Six-O on the 11th of December so we suprised him with a suprise party to celebrate the big event!

Trips to Monterey Peninsula

Beautiful Monterey and Carmel Beach

One of the great things about moving back to California has been...family. It has been great to be in Fresno again because I grew up here and all my family is here. What is also great is Jeff's parents are so close by as well! Jeff's family lived in Pebble Beach, CA when Jeff was born, and then when Jeff went on his mission, since he is the youngest of nine children, his parents moved back to Monterey since they were empty nesters. Such a beautiful place to live!! Jeff has been working with a client for his job that is in Monterey for the whole month of November, so it was great going and visiting them during that month. We also went out there during Conference in October. We are loving it that we can just cruise over to the coast and visit them whenever we want since it is only about 2 hours away.

Us in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It is crazy how everything is just naturally beautiful there.

Jeff's Mom doing her pose at Carmel!! She is so fun...

Jeff's brother Mike met us in Monterey as he was speaking at a lecture close by, so we all went to see the Sand Castle building competition at Carmel Beach

Jamo and Grandma with a parrot on Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. He was a little nervous and excited at the same time

Swings at the famous Dennis the Menace Park. He loves doing "High-fives"

Jeff and Jamisen at the Lion drinking fountain

Trip to Monterey would not be complete without the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Jeff's parents have passes so it is nice to be able to go! Jamisen loved running around looking at all the sea animals

Catch Up

Brace yourself.....this is going to be one ginormous post!! I am officially committed to posting everything for the last 2 months in an effort to catch up on our blog. Here goes!

Thanksgiving 2010

Cousins

Nice work on the tables Mom!

Jeff's Dad took us on a tour of his old childhood spots. It was so fun hearing all the stories he had growing up, and see all of the hang out spots.

Nielsen's Diner...an old fifties diner that Jeff's Dad went to growing up. I have always been an old soul and dream about living in the 50s, so it was so fun to pretend we were for a day. Of course we had to get a burger and share a shake! Thanks for the tour Dad!

Jamisen is such a funny kid. One day we made sugar cookies, and we turned our backs for a second and when we did, Jamisen swiped a cookie off the table. We tried to run after him to take it and he ran and stuffed it in his mouth as we chased him. Little stinker!

He is so funny...he loves jumping into all the laundry and laying in it.

I love this picture...he is getting too big! Just want him to stay the way he is

He is such a boy! Anything that has to do with cars, trucks, balls, or explosions he is in heaven

For Halloween we decided to be a little German family. So funny to see Jamisen and Jeff working it in their lederhosen. We couldn't resist dressing up our little tow-head in this outfit. Here is a picture of our little yodeler

I think this picture is funny - Jamisen LOVES the bottle these days!

We went to a Halloween party. Here is a picture of some of the girls there

Here are some of the guys - definitely a variety of costumes!

A new nephew!! My brother Tyler and his wife Lynnsey welcomed their first child Cole into the world. It was so fun to be able to go meet him in the hospital. He is such a cutie, and I know Jamisen is going to love having another boy cousin
