Summerfall 2013 Recap - Reunions, Birthdays, Halloween & Thanksgiving

Well now that it is 2014...one resolution is to catch up on our blog.  We have a ways to go since my last post was for the summer of 2013 so here is a recap of the rest of the summer and the fall of 2013.

Schill Family Reunion - Banff/Waterton, Alberta, Canada

Every two years we have Jeff's family's reunion...this is the first time it has gone international...Jeff's brother Steve chose to go to Canada since this was his year to choose.  We are glad he did as the scenery was gorgeous.  Here are a few photos of our amazing time.

Parker/Jolley Reunion - Newport Beach, CA

Another year at Newport and it was just as fun as ever...Jackson's first and he loved the beach.  I think we have two little surfer beach bums for boys.  

 Jeff loves to go deep sea fishing and this year he finally got to go out this year with some of my brothers...they came home with a bunch of fish and we made some yummy fish tacos...

Our friends the Piersons moved to Elko, NV in September so before they left they wanted to see Monterey, so we gave them the tour.  It was amazing weather and we saw the aquarium and went to Point Lobos and swam/cliff jumped in China Cove.

 Jamisen started his second year of preschool... the kid is growing up too fast!!

On Labor Day we went up and stayed the weekend at my parents cabin and celebrated my 28th birthday...we went out on a boat on Shaver Lake and enjoyed staying up and playing games with friends.  Such a fun weekend.

 Jamisen started playing soccer this year.  Loved seeing him play in his little uniform.  Go Black Cobras!

Jamisen turned 4 years old in October!  Such a big boy.  What happened to my baby? We made 4 colored pancakes with Grandma Schill to celebrate the morning.

The day after his birthday last year he was insistent about having a soccer ball party.  We thought he would lose interest and pick something else but he stuck to his guns and it helped also that he played soccer this fall.  Jeff made another one of his famous cakes...this one a 3-D soccer ball cake on a green grass (green colored coconut) field.  Turned out nice!

We decided to do a football theme for our Halloween costumes this year.  Jamisen was a BYU football player,  Jackson was a cute little football, Ashley was a ref, and Jeff was a coach although his "football coach mustache made him end up just looking pervy...:)

When we went trick or treating we went to a house that took it a little too far. We were with a group that was mostly all 3 and 4 year olds, yet this house had these guys (one in a pig mask scraping a shovel on the ground creepily, and the other a zombie crawling after the kids on the grass).  Let's just say Jamisen had nightmares about these guys for 2 weeks.  It was messed up.

Jamisen loves playing the Wii...but we try to get him to play the "Just Dance" game because it gets his energy out.  Here is a video of him and his nice dance moves playing the Wii just dance game...and a movie dancing with his Daddy below.

New baby cousin Alivia was born in November to my brother Tyler and his wife Lynnsey.  She's such a cutie.  So excited to have a girl to dress up!

Jeff sister JoLynne's family flew up to California for Thanksgiving and we were able to spend Thanksgiving all together.  JoLynne is such a gourmet cook and the food was amazing.

The boys all showed up in khakis for Thanksgiving so they had to strike a pose and get a picture.  Must be family minds think alike!

We played an intense game of "Wind-pong"...we were all light-headed by the end.

After we all went to Jeff's parents house in Monterey and explored the area with JoLynne's family.  Point Lobos, Carmel, and a fire at the beach at night playing guitar, eating "woofums", and playing games.  It was such a great Thanksgiving together.
